Ostomy is the connection between the urinary or digestive system and abdominal skin. An ostomy may be necessary due to birth defects, cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and other medical conditions when natural way of excretion is impossible. An ostomy can be temporary or permanent.<\/p>\n
