PATELLAR INSTABILITY

Patellar instability is a common orthopaedic condition caused by the excessive lateral movement of the patella during motion. It may lead to anterior knee pain, a sensation of the patella “slipping”, inflammation, and chondromalacia. Insufficient control of the patellar tracking disrupts the function of the entire patellofemoral joint, causing overload and difficulties in walking. The OKD-41 knee brace was designed specifically to stabilize this movement pattern and restore proper knee biomechanics.

The OKD-41 knee brace is a modern medical device intended for individuals suffering from patellofemoral instability, knee pain, ligament injuries, and those who require gradual restoration of knee mobility after trauma or surgery. Thanks to its advanced construction, the brace provides a high level of stabilization, comfort, and safety during everyday activities and rehabilitation.

The knee brace features a closed design, fully encompassing the knee joint, thigh, and lower leg. This structure increases lateral and anterior–posterior stability, prevents the brace from shifting during movement, and ensures even compression.

It is equipped with durable lateral splints with an anatomic 1R orthodesign hinge, offering a wide range of motion control in 15-degree increments, allowing precise adjustment to the user’s individual needs.

The OKD-41 hinged knee brace includes an anatomical patellar ring, which stabilizes the patella, maintains its correct tracking, and reduces patellofemoral overload. Thanks to this feature, the brace effectively reduces pain, prevents lateral patellar maltracking, and supports the treatment of chondromalacia and other conditions related to abnormal patellar alignment.

The OKD-41 patellar knee brace has integrated 3D pads, which reduced pressure on bony prominences and significantly improve user comfort. The brace also includes an additional adjustable pad that can be attached to fill the space between the femoral condyle and the side splint.

Made of breathable, skin-friendly materials, it effectively wicks away moisture, prevents overheating, and ensures all-day comfort.

The OKD-41 hinged knee brace provides full leg unloading, maintains proper joint alignment, and improves knee biomechanics. MATERIALS

Active3D™

Active3D™ is thermoformed fabric made of special foamed, cell-closed designed material. It reduces the pressure on the body or any abrasions made by orthopaedic stays and aluminum splints. It is fully waterproof fabric and does not absorb sweat. It’s easy to clean. Due to its features, the fabric is an excellent product for making medical orthopaedic braces and orthoses. ACTIVE 3D™ has various external self-gripping layers. Our material has special, thermoformed properties and may be shaped according to the functional goals of the final braces.

AeroSpace™

AeroSpace™ is an innovative new generation raw material. It is a distance elastic 3D knitted fabric consisting of two layers of facings and an interlacing that creates the appropriate thickness of the raw material and has relieving properties. The knitwear is made of the highest quality polyester yarn - guaranteeing high mechanical strength and spandex ensuring its proper flexibility. This material is characterized by a very low weight, high flexibility and a very large openwork structure, allowing for very easy drainage of sweat from the body and bringing fresh air to the skin. Products made of this raw material are neutral to the secured joint, do not heat or cool it, but ensure its proper compression and fit and reduce muscle vibrations generated during physical exertion. Its thickness and 3D structure perfectly relieves the orthopedic splints, stays or other elements mounted on the product and guarantees velvety softness to the touch.

TECHNOLOGICAL SYSTEMS

EASY FIT Solution

The patented EASY FIT SOLUTION system is designed to enhance the fit of products to body curves and therapeutic needs of users. The system is intended for injury stabilization and posture correction.
It consists of universal inserts, which allow for the attachment of clips with elastic elements of the stabilization system and provide angular movement, enabling precise adjustment of products to the user's body curves.
Additionally, the inserts allow for circumferential guidance of straps, providing circumferential stabilization of the selected area. The system is attached to soft components of products such as lower and upper limb orthoses, vests, or circumferential belts.
EASY FIT SOLUTION enables combining rigid components (splints, bars) with elastic straps, providing an individual approach when using standard rehabilitation equipment.

Splint 1R Orthodesign

Szyna ortopedyczna 1R orthodesign, to nowatorskie podejście do tematyki szyn ortopedycznych z regulacją kąta zgięcia i wyprostu. Innowacyjność szyny polega na tym, że w zegarze o średnicy nie przekraczającej 30 mm, zastosowaliśmy regulację kąta zgięcia i wyprostu co 15 stopni. Dodatkowym atutem szyny jest to, że regulacja odbywa się nie przy użyciu wkrętów imbusowych, jak to się odbywało w poprzedniej generacji szyny, lecz za pomocą wkładanych stalowych nitów, które dla ułatwienia wyjmowane są z gniazd kątowych przy użyciu załączonego do szyn magnesu. Wisienką na torcie jest pierścień blokujący, który dzięki systemowi zapadkowemu nie pozwoli na samoczynne przestawienie się wcześniej ustawionego kąta. W ortezach kolana szyny mają odsadzenie goleniowe, co pozwala na bardziej precyzyjne dopasowanie ortezy kolana, a co za tym idzie dokładniej realizują regulację ruchomości stawu, w pozostałych wyrobach zaś, ortezy mają formę prostą. Od spodniej strony zegara zamontowano owalny element do którego doklejono gripper niezbędny do przymocowania do zegara miękkich poduszek bocznych 3D. Szyny te, przy użyciu klucza ortopedycznego będącego w ofercie Reh4Mat, mogą być w niektórych przypadkach indywidualnie dopasowane do kształtu kończyny pacjenta, poprzez ich lekkie dogięcie. PADDINGS

2D supports

2D supports are, apart from 3D supports, the second type of supports used in the production of orthoses. They are made of various types of relieving foams and have very different shapes. The special feature of these pelottes is that, unlike the 3D pelottes, they are not independent parts of the orthosis, but only their parts, that must be sewn between the materials from which the orthosis is made to work properly. These pads have an anatomical shape and are made of comfortable foam with proper hardness and elasticity, which guarantees the proper therapeutic effect.

3D supports

3D relief supports are independent technical solutions to relieve the rigid elements of a given orthosis. These elements are made of supporting foams or EVA foam. These foams are connected with various types of skin-friendly materials and materials with an adhesive function. These pads have the appropriate shape and color adapted to the type of orthosis. They relieve both metal elements of orthoses, such as splints, stays, underwires and orthopedic drop locks, as well as other elements that should not come into direct contact with the patient's skin. These pads have an anatomical shape and are made of comfortable foam with proper hardness and elasticity, guaranteeing the proper therapeutic effect.
