Description
BOXER’S FRACTURE
A boxer’s fracture is an injury most commonly involving a fracture of the neck of the fifth metacarpal bone, typically caused by striking a hard surface with a clenched fist. It is usually accompanied by pain, swelling, reduced mobility, and sometimes visible deformity around the little finger and hand. Proper immobilization of the fourth and fifth fingers together with stabilization of the ulnar side of the hand is essential to prevent displacement of bone fragments. The use of a specialized AM-D-08 moldable hand brace maintains the fingers in a correct functional position and limits movements that could worsen the injury.
Product ‘s description:
The AM-D-08 boxer’s fracture hand brace has been designed to effectively immobilize the ring and little fingers together with the ulnar side of the hand. The product is intended for the treatment of injuries such as fractures, sprains, or overload syndromes affecting the metacarpal bones and finger joints.
Thanks to its anatomically contoured design and moldable aluminium plate, the finger brace keeps the hand in a physiological position, limiting unwanted movements and supporting the proper healing process of the fourth and fifth fingers as well as surrounding joints, including the wrist joint.
The AM-D-08 hand brace is made of a soft, breathable material that provides a high level of comfort even during prolonged use.
An internal aluminium stabilizing insert supports the hand and fingers IV–V, preventing displacement and limiting movements that could aggravate the injury. The aluminium splint can be individually shaped to maintain the desired finger position according to therapeutic recommendations.
A system of adjustable hook-and-loop straps allows precise fitting of the brace to the hand and ensures stable positioning during use. The open construction makes the brace easy to apply, improves skin ventilation, and reduces the risk of irritation.
The AM-D-08 modlable boxer’s fracture hand brace can be used both in conservative treatment and during the rehabilitation period following hand injuries.
By providing effective stabilization and unloading the injured area, the brace supports the healing process, reduces pain, and enables a safer return to normal hand function.
Purpose of use:
- fractures of the IV and V metacarpal bones (boxer’s fracture)
- sprains and dislocations of the ring and little fingers
- ligament injuries within the IV–V finger joints
- hand overuse injuries
- stabilization after surgical procedures
- support during rehabilitation and recovery

MATERIALS
UniPren™
UniPren™ is a universal 3-layer material consisting of an external elastic polyamide cover knit with a self-adhesive function, an internal neoprene foam core and an elastic jersey cover knit. This material is characterized by softness and very high flexibility. A very important advantage of this material is the fact that it is not a knitted product, it does not have thick fibers, so that the weaves of the material do not imprint on the patient's skin and do not cause abrasionsin places of high compression. Products made of UniPren™ are the strongest and most effective stabilizing orthoses available on the market. Self-adhesive function, the raw material makes it much easier to use.
