A vertebral compression fracture is an injury involving the collapse or crushing of the front part of a vertebral body, most commonly in the thoracic or lumbar spine. It may result from trauma, a fall, osteoporosis, or weakened bones caused by other medical conditions. This condition causes pain, reduced mobility, and difficulties in daily functioning. The AM-SO-12 TLSO brace is an advanced trunk corset designed for effective stabilization of the thoracic, lumbar, and sacral spine. Its structure is based on anatomically contoured panels made of thermoplastic semi-rigid material, ensuring a high level of stability while maintaining everyday comfort.

The brace is equipped with front and back panels as well as side stays. The posterior reinforcement, in the form of an anatomically contoured back panel, provides stable support for the thoracolumbar spine. It limits excessive flexion, extension, and rotational movements of the trunk, reducing spinal overload and improving postural control. This is especially important for patients after injuries, surgeries, or with weakened muscular and ligamentous structures.

The aluminum side stays additionally enhance control of lateral and rotational movements. They help maintain proper trunk alignment, prevent uncontrolled twisting and side bending, and ensure even distribution of forces acting on the spine during walking, sitting, or standing up.

The front abdominal panel plays an important stabilizing role by increasing intra-abdominal pressure. Gentle abdominal compression creates natural “internal support” for the lumbar spine, relieving pressure on the intervertebral discs, facet joints, and ligaments. Increased intra-abdominal pressure acts as a physiological stabilizer, reducing axial spinal load and improving movement safety during everyday activities.

The rigid elements of the brace are covered with AirTech™ technical mesh, characterized by high breathability and excellent resistance to external forces.

AeroSpace™

AeroSpace™ is an innovative new generation raw material. It is a distance elastic 3D knitted fabric consisting of two layers of facings and an interlacing that creates the appropriate thickness of the raw material and has relieving properties. The knitwear is made of the highest quality polyester yarn - guaranteeing high mechanical strength and spandex ensuring its proper flexibility. This material is characterized by a very low weight, high flexibility and a very large openwork structure, allowing for very easy drainage of sweat from the body and bringing fresh air to the skin. Products made of this raw material are neutral to the secured joint, do not heat or cool it, but ensure its proper compression and fit and reduce muscle vibrations generated during physical exertion. Its thickness and 3D structure perfectly relieves the orthopedic splints, stays or other elements mounted on the product and guarantees velvety softness to the touch.

AirRubber III™

AirRubber III™ has unidirectional elasticity. It can be stretched, increasing the length, not width, what improves compression. Between the braids air flows freely and skin can breathe. In addition in high compression, these rubber braids provide a gentle massage for skin. Our orthopedic rubber is very friendly for skin.

AirTech™

AirTech™ waterproof tech net is created to achieve the most difficult aims and off-loads the high pressures. It’s made of 100% of polyester and its basis weight is 310g/m2 with maintaining only 1mm width. The slim width is resistant to punching even to 120 daN. That’s why, the durability for this material is 95%, what’s unusual in such soft constructions. AirTech™ was tested in Textile Research Institute according to standards: PN-P-04738:1979 i PN-EN ISO 12947-2:2000/AC:2006, where achieved the highest qualities certificates.

TLS - TapeLacing Compression System

TapeLacing Compression System was created to adjust the best joint support and stabilization. The system allows to adjust different levels of compression according to patient’s needs. This adjustment is smooth what provides comfort of use the brace.

The TLS System is a combination of metal grommets, nylon tapes and Velcros. The additional equipment is the special element that is easy to attach what allows to modify device’s shape or circumference. You can achieve required compression with a single pull strap. One easy pull securely forms the brace to the patient’s torso and provides intra-abdominal compression, reducing the load on intervertebral discs.

TLS System is the compression solution so you can use it only after putting the brace on the body.

Orthopedic profiled stays

Orthopedic stays are made of special spring steel, covered with a plastic coating and have rounded and protected ends. They can come in various widths and thicknesses as well as different hardness. They can be pre-shaped or flat. They work in one direction and adapt to the shape of the body while stabilizing the laterally protected part of the body. They are perfectly protected against corrosion, so they are resistant to water, moisture and sweat. Products equipped with them can be washed without removing them from the orthosis. They adjust to the body. The orthopedic stays cannot bend and that is why, they cannot correct the body posture or the secured joint.
