OKG-26

OKG-26 INNOVATIVE FRACTURE LONG ARM BRACE
Description
FOREARM FRACTURES
The forearm consists of two bones — the radius and the ulna — connected by the interosseous membrane and forming the proximal and distal radioulnar joints. Their correct interaction enables pronation and supination movements of the forearm, which are essential for the full functionality of the hand.
Forearm fractures are among the most common upper limb injuries and may involve fractures of one or both bones, with or without displacement. During conservative or postoperative treatment, it is crucial to maintain proper rotational alignment between the radius and ulna. Depending on the location and mechanism of the fracture, the supinator and pronator muscles may cause rotational displacement of the bone fragments, which can hinder healing.
To prevent this, the limb must be positioned correctly to optimize bone union. The innovative OKG-26 long arm brace has been developed to stabilize the upper limb and maintain the forearm in the desired position.
Product description:
The OKG-26 is an innovative upper extremity brace that offers as an effective alternative to traditional, uncomfortable plaster casts and splints. It is designed following the principle of the Munster-type cast, providing stabilization of pronation and supination of the forearm while allowing elbow flexion and extension, significantly accelerating rehabilitation.
The OKG-26 upper limb brace is an ideal solution for patients after upper limb injuries requiring immobilization while maintaining elbow mobility and minimizing movement restrictions.
The brace consists of two components: wrist and elbow component.
Wrist splint stabilizes the radiocarpal joint in a physiological position. It also features an optional thumb spica splint, keeping the thumb in neutral abduction and stabilizing the carpometacarpal (saddle) joint.

Elbow component attaches to the wrist brace and, depending on clinical needs, allows the forearm to be positioned in pronation, supination, or a neutral position.
Unlike traditional plaster immobilizations, the innovative OKG-26 upper limb brace allows controlled forearm rotation while preserving elbow mobility, which positively influences the rehabilitation process.
Made from lightweight, skin-friendly, breathable materials, it ensures comfort and continuous air circulation.
By enabling positioning of the forearm in pronation, supination, or neutral alignment, the OKG-26 upper limb brace allows for user adaptation to the type of injury, ensuring optimal stabilization and conditions for proper bone healing.
The OKG-26 upper limb brace is ideal for patients with upper limb injuries requiring immobilization with functional preservation of the elbow and minimal movement limitations. It is suitable for orthopaedic treatment, rehabilitation, and home use by patients seeking a comfortable and functional stabilization solution.
The brace is easy to apply, with wide adjustability and Velcro straps for simple and secure fitting. It is available in two sizes and designed for use on either the right or left arm.
Purpose of use:
- Shaft fractures of the radius and ulna
- Monteggia and Galeazzi fractures
- Distal radius fractures (e.g., Colles’, Smith’s)
- TFCC (Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex) injuries
- Elbow ligament reconstruction (UCL, MCL)
- Postoperative immobilization of the forearm and wrist

MATERIALS
ActiveDistance III™
ActiveDistance III™ is an active 3-layered fabric made of non-elastic polyamide self-gripping layer, comfort foam and soft fabric. What is important, ActiveDistance III™ is non-elastic fabric so it stabilizes your body in a perfect way. Thanks to using the comfort foam, the device is really soft what influences on the comfort of using it. The last layer is responsible for maintaining your skin dry.
UniTape™
UniTape™ is a technological orthopedic lamination with high durability with double-sided self-gripping function. UniTape™ is very thin and easy to attach what allows to fit the braces precisely.

Anatomic palm strip
Plastic stays
They come in various widths and thicknesses, are made of various types of plastics, such as polyamide, ABS or acrylic, and these features determine their stiffness. Thanks to their design, they are resistant to water, moisture and sweat. Products equipped with them can be washed without having to remove them from the orthosis. Our plastic stays work only in one direction, perfectly stabilize the laterally protected part of the body, adjusting to it at the same time and have a memory function, thanks to which they always return to their original shape. This function causes the stays in the orthosis to stabilize the swollen limb immediately after the injury and after the swelling has come off. The plastic stays cannot bend and that is why, they cannot correct the body posture or the secured joint.
