Splint 2R with anti-hyperextension mechanism

Orthopedic splints 2R are the strongest and most developed orthopedic splints in the Reh4Mat offer. These biaxial splints are equipped with a ratchet mechanism and a shock absorbing spring. The splints are made of a specially hardened aluminum alloy, additionally secured with a durable powder coating. Thanks to this structure, they are light but still rigid and resistant to water and patient sweat. They are equipped with drop locks for precise regulation of joint mobility in every 20 degrees, made by means of special steel rivets. In addition, the drop lock has an external plastic cover, securing the rivets against accidental falling out, and unauthorized adjustment. On the inside, the drop lock has an oval velcro fastening, which allows to attach anatomically shaped soft 3D pads to the drop lock that relieve and laterally stabilize the knee joint. The biaxial mechanism of the orthopedic splint is the closest to the anatomical movement of the knee joint, thanks to which the orthosis does not move on the limb during use, and therefore very precisely controls the angle of flexion and extension of the joint. The ratchet mechanism additionally supports the flexion and extension of the splint and always positions its arms symmetrically. When using a splint, always lock the flexion and extension angles symmetrically on both sides, otherwise the ratchet mechanism will be damaged. A very important element of the 2R splint is the anti-shock spring, securing the knee against hyperextension, absorbing shocks and the joint tissues.
