Elbow dislocation

Elbow dislocations are the most common major joint dislocation (second to the shoulder). It’s the most common injury among children. Dislocation occurs when the bones of the forearm move out of place compared with the bone of the upper arm. 80% of all dislocations are posterolateral. Falling with the arm all the way out, car accident or contact sports – they are one of many reasons of elbow dislocations. External forces impact on the joint and injury usually involves torn ligaments (MCL, LCL).

First symptoms of dislocation is painful and swollen elbow and reduced mobility. Very often, vessels and nerves which run by the elbow, are damaged. Due to this fact, fast doctor diagnose and treatment are crucial. Your elbow may be treated with conservative methods or with surgery. In both cases, elbow immobilization with bending in 90 degrees will be necessary. Product’s description

Elbow brace OKG-09 is professional medical device class I. The orthosis provides full ROM adjustment in every 15 degrees for comfortable and safe stabilization. You may immobilize your limb in the required position (e.g. flexion in 90 degrees) or, if it is necessary, it provides full range of motion. Lateral splints provides lateral stabilization and proper join alignment.

Our OKG-09 elbow orthosis is made of innovative fabric UniPren™ and two lateral splints with drop-lock.

Full hook-loop fabric provides one-size product and perfect fitting.

Lateral splints are made of plastic and they are extremely light-weight and comfortable. The splints provide smooth range of motion adjustment in every 15 degrees.

Both, UniPren™ and splints are waterproof. You don’t have to remove the brace for the shower or bath. Our OKG-09 elbow brace provides 24-hour stabilization. It’s guarantee for safety and comfort.

MATERIALS

UniPren™

UniPren™ is a universal 3-layer material consisting of an external elastic polyamide cover knit with a self-adhesive function, an internal neoprene foam core and an elastic jersey cover knit. This material is characterized by softness and very high flexibility. A very important advantage of this material is the fact that it is not a knitted product, it does not have thick fibers, so that the weaves of the material do not imprint on the patient's skin and do not cause abrasionsin places of high compression. Products made of UniPren™ are the strongest and most effective stabilizing orthoses available on the market. Self-adhesive function, the raw material makes it much easier to use.

STIFFENINGS

Splint 1R

1R splints – single axis orthopedic splints used in all knee joint and upper limb braces, where apart from adjustment of the flection and extension angle, high lateral stabilization of the joint is not required, but important if low weight of the brace. Due to the low weight the splints are successfully used in all braced for children. They are manufactured with high quality polyamide with carbon fibres, making the splints light and neutral to the influence of sweat and salt, properly firm therefore assuring correct functioning of the device. Adjustment of the flexion and extension angle is performed with special Allen screw in every 15°. Each brace is equipped with an Allen key, which is necessary for adjustment. Standard length of the braces is: 280 and 380 mm. The splint and its design are patented in European Union by Reh4Mat Company.
